Attend the Medical Assistant Training Career Fair Event Tuesday, April 24, 2018

St. Luke’s Hospital and St. Louis Community College are hosting a Career Fair Event on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, for individuals interested in Medical Assistant (MA) training.
The event is being held from 3 to 6 p.m. on the second level of St. Luke’s Institute for Health Education in the North Medical Building. Individuals interested in providing patient-focused services in a clinical setting and employable as a medical assistant, should attend. Those selected for this training will start classes on July 16, 2018.
St. Louis Community College and St. Luke’s Hospital are collaborating on the design of a 23-week accelerated training program that combines classroom and lab instruction with hands-on clinical experience. The training program is the first phase of a two year competency-based “earn and learn” training and mentorship program. St. Luke’s Hospital is a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship sponsor and is hosting their second Medical Assistant apprenticeship program.
The classroom instruction will be held on the Corporate College campus from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The clinical instruction takes place several days a week at St. Luke’s Medical Group offices near the hospital.
The cost of instructional materials for this program will be provided through a variety of funding sources. There are no costs to students that qualify to participate in this training.
