Apply Now for July Evening Boeing Pre-Employment Composites Training

St. Louis Community College, in partnership with Boeing, offers accelerated pre-employment programs to train individuals in aircraft assembly techniques for potential Composites Assembly Mechanic positions within Boeing. Training is free for those who qualify and is conducted at STLCC’s Center for Workforce Innovation on its Florissant Valley campus. Students who successfully complete the training program will have an opportunity to interview with Boeing.
Composites Mechanic
168 hours of training
Evening Class: 5-10 p.m., Monday – Friday, for 8 weeks
Now accepting resumes for a class starting July 16, 2018
Program Location
All training takes place at STLCC’s Center for Workforce Innovation on the Florissant Valley Campus, 3344 Pershall Rd, Ferguson, MO 63135.
Cost of Program
Currently there is no cost to students to attend either of these training programs. All costs are covered by a combination of resources provided by Boeing, St. Louis Community College and the Missouri Division of Workforce Development.

- Lay-out/Measuring Assessment (SMAR only)

Please be sure to include all skills, hobbies, tools, and work experience that would reflect your mechanical aptitude on the resume.
Once we have received your resume, you will contacted by program staff and scheduled for WorkKeys Assessments.
- Required WorkKeys Scores: Applied Math 4, Graphic Literacy 4, Workplace Documents 5

- There is no cost for the first round of assessments, however if you do not meet the required score(s) and wish to retest, there is a $20 per assessment fee.
When you meet the required score you will be scheduled for the Lay-out/Measuring Assessment (SMAR only). This is a pass/fail assessment of your ability to follow-directions and measure accurately.
Once you have met all the program requirements you be placed into an upcoming class.
A minimum score of 75% is required on all grades tests/projects.
Those who successfully complete the program will receive an interview with Boeing. Participation in this program does not guarantee employment.
