Stuart Andreason, Director of Workforce Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, presented the 2017 State of St. Louis Workforce keynote, “Investing in America’s Workforce.” Stuart discussed the Federal Reserve System and its involvement in workforce and community development; the increasing importance of skill, talent, education, and workforce development; the improving labor market and the middle-skill gap; national educational attainment; opportunity occupations (middle-skill jobs); employer educational expectations; workforce development funding; employer engagement with training organizations; and the challenges to reframe and improve workforce development and training.
