Apply Now! No-Cost Industrial Maintenance Technician Training, Classes Start November 13

Industrial maintenance technicians repair and maintain commercial or industrial machinery in buildings and in a plant or factory setting.
St. Louis Community College’s new Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT) accelerated training program covers Basic Mechanical Systems, Basic Hydraulic Systems, Basic Pneumatic Systems, and Electrical Systems. The program prepares participants for entry-level jobs in the industrial maintenance industry. Graduates of the IMT program will be able to maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment most commonly used in high-tech manufacturing facilities while adhering to safety, health and environmental rules and regulations. Students will be ready to earn nationally recognized National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials for Industrial Maintenance Technicians.
Classes meet Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for 7 weeks and is delivered in a blended-learning format, where skills-focused interactive e-learning is combined with instructor-led and hands-on training. Additional open computer lab time will be available 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. each class day. All courses in this program are taught at the Center for Workforce Innovation at St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley campus.
The costs of instruction and materials for this program are entirely grant funded. There are no costs to students that qualify.
