No-Cost Avionics (Aviation Electronics) Training Starts Oct. 5, 2016 – Apply Now!

Train for your career in aviation electronics with our no-cost, high-value Avionics program. Avionics involves the assembly, installation and maintenance of electronic systems on all types of aircraft, artificial satellites, and spacecraft.
Apply now for training starting October 5, 2016.
Avionics is accelerated 9-week practical, hands-on, non-credit course. Classes will be offered at St. Louis Community College’s Florissant Valley Campus. Participants must be available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for the nine weeks of this program. Training is free for qualified applicants.
Avionics training covers the following topics:
- Introduction to Aviation
- D.C. Theory, Series and Parallel Laws
- A.C. Theory, Series and Parallel Laws
- A.C. Circuits
- Blueprint and Schematic Reading
- Wire Identification, Fabrication and Installation
- Digital Theory, Logic Theory
- Radio Theory and Communications
- Avionics Systems Installation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting
- Fiber Optics Systems Installation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting
