Pharmacy Technician Certification Training

St. Louis Community College is offering a Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program in the upcoming fall 2013 semester. This short-term and fast-tracked allied health care training program will be offered in partnership with MK Education, an education consulting company that specializes in health career training and curriculum.
The Pharmacy Technician Training program consists of 165 contact hours where students will be in the classroom setting for 105 hours learning the fundamentals and particulars of being a pharmacy technician. This class prepares graduates for the PTCB and ExCPT certification exams. In addition to the certification preparation, students will have the opportunity to complete a 60 hour externship in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
