IT Industry Insights Seminar

In the rapidly changing field of information technology, it takes insight and a deep understanding of the landscape to keep afloat. Examine the regional impact of information technology as we welcome Jim Brasunas, Executive Director of the Information Technology Entrepreneur Network, Laura Lester, Workforce Research Analyst for Missouri Economic Research and Information Center (MERIC), and Dianne Lee, Professor, Information Systems at St. Louis Community College.

After introductions with Steve Long, Associate Vice Chancellor for Workforce Solutions, we’ll review the State of the St. Louis Workforce report for the IT Industry, followed by a discussion on Information Technology in St. Louis, led by Jim Brasunas, including an in depth discussion on the Information Technology Entrepreneurs Network (ITEN), companies involved in the ITEN, as well as technologies being developed locally, and the talent needs of start-ups and large established IT companies. The morning will round out with a conversation on closing the IT Talent Gap and trends impacting the industry and an insights panel featuring Matthew Kulig, co-founder of Aisle411; Skip Foss, Chief Product Officer with Norse; and Vijay Chaudron, Entrepreneur in Residence at BioGenerator, speaking respectively about Big Data, Security, and Medical IT followed by an interactive Question & Answer.

As an extension of the State of the St. Louis Workforce research, please join your industry peers for an exclusive look into the data specifically impacting the Information Technology industry. Your voice will help shape the workforce solutions into the future.
