STLCC to Host Manufacturers’ Resource Forum Oct. 28, 2010

Business leaders from across the metropolitan area are invited to attend the Fall 2010 Manufacturers’ Resource Forum on Thursday, Oct. 28, from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Emerson Center for Engineering and Manufacturing on the Florissant Valley campus of St. Louis Community College.

Co-sponsored by STLCC’s Center for Business, Industry and Labor and the Emerson Center for Engineering and Manufacturing, this complimentary event is designed to provide insights and information on topics critical to the success of local manufacturers.

The forum will focus on four unique, targeted presentations led by industry professionals. They are: Experience Speaks: Surviving and Thriving, offering the perspectives of a successful businessman; The Benefits of Lean Work Processes, presenting ideas for process improvement; Tools in Developing Front-Line Leadership, dealing with management training issues; and Resources for the Bottom Line, featuring the latest financial tools for business.

Each 30-minute session is specifically designed to meet needs of today’s manufacturing community. The event will commence with a brief networking session; presentations begin at 4 p.m.
